Arrived here at Wawona campground in Yosemite National Park early in the afternoon to be confronted by a coyote which was pretty cool. There are bears, cougars and mountain lions here but haven’t seen any yet. Set up camp and went for a hike up into the Sequoia Forest. They don’t have the gigantic ones here that they have in Sequoia NP but they have a lot more of them. It had also snowed here the night before we arrived so we missed that one. It still got really cold at night so we had all our clothes and all the blankets on to keep warm. It is national park week at the moment so everyone is getting into the park free but it also meant that it was booked out so we only got to camp here for one night. However, we made the most of it. We hooked up the rv and took it with us further up the mountain to the village and parked in the carpark. From there we could catch the free bus that goes around the park so got to see all the famous sights such as Mirror Lake, El Capitan and the Half Dome. They were awesome, once again photos don’t do it justice. Late in the afternoon we took off and travelled back down the mountain till we found an RV park to stay in for the night at Chowchilla. Too bad it was next to the railroad and the van vibrated every time a train went past. Never mind, we still managed to sleep most of the night as we had done so much walking over the last few days we were knackered. Not only has Hughie done a Burt Munroe fixing the axle, he has now done a Kenny and fixed the blocked toilet.
No, it's not a dog
Sequoia trees
Pretty stunning scenery
Glad you got the crapper fixed! Spade might have been working overtime otherwise!
