Sadly we left Wichita Mountain Oklahoma and are now heading for Lake Meredith and the Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument in Texas. We have found a great free campsite on the edge of a town called Borger with free electricity and water and a dump station to boot. What more could you want. We saw what we thought was a public swimming pool nearby so got our swimmers on and ran down there only to find it was a childrens water park. Oh well, win some lose some. We will stock up in town tomorrow and head for the lake.
Here's another 'Only in America' we're driving along the highway with fenced area either side of us and signs stating that it is Army land. This is the sign that was on the road.
Now not sure what to make of this but do we expect bullets to be flying over our heads and if one of us suddenly goes to sleep should we worry? Needless to say we put the foot down to escape.
