We've left our lovely lake to head further north and west. Our first stop was Dumas a small old town in the top end of Texas. Saw quite a few gas/oil drills in the area.
A very sleepy little town with this beautiful theatre in the middle of the main street
Heading toward Texline and the New Mexico border
Getting flatter with the occasional bump in the distance
Still New Mexico still flat
So come to another historic town called Raton New Mexico and pull up in the main street to have a look around and what do you think we parked right next to? Just a closed up showroom full of old classic cars. Well guess who was in their element.
After taking quite a few photos through the windows we walked to the workshop behind the showroom to see if we could get in to have a closer look. It turns out that it is owned by someone from Denver who comes down on weekends to work on the cars so couldn't get in.
Meanwhile we got into that workshop which had some cool stuff as well
And its all for sale and cheap as
Chopped Harley
Another local picture theatre
The railway station
Still practicing? I hope they get it right
After all that we have pulled into Trinidad Colorado for the night and have snow capped mountains in the background, very different scenery from Texas and New Mexico
