North to Alaska continued - Saturday 3rd - 10th July 2010

The next port of call was Ketchikan.  This place was a little larger and got its start through gold mining.  At one point there were about 30 brothels in the place and one has now been turned into a museum called Dolly's.  Dolly was the oldest madam in the town who retired at the age of 70.  The whole street is suspended out over the river that runs through the town.
