Friday 24th August 2018 - Back in Montana

Friday 24th August 2028

Today we went to the Sacajawea Centre which tells the story of an indian girl who was stolen from her tribe as a young child and was sold to a french trader by the name of Carbonneau whom she eventually married.  The couple then helped Lewis and Clark on their expedition to find a northwest water passage to the Pacific Ocean.  Thomas Jefferson was the instigator of this expedition.  The interesting part of this story is that she led them back to her homelands and was reunited with her brother who had become chief of the tribe.  He did not recognise her but she recognised him.

We had lunch at a rest area just across the Montana border and found this burnt out motorhome.  It had a removal sticker on it from yesterday and you could still smell it.  Guess it only went up last night.  One flash and you're ash.
