Wednesday 5th September 2018 - A week with the younguns Part 1 - Nevada/Arizona/Utah

We flew into Las Vegas on Saturday to meet up with our son Travis and Blue his wife to spend 10 days cruising around America for his 40th birthday.  We've left Stacha and John with our motorhome which they will take slowly back to Florida and we've hired a Cruise America motorhome for the next ten days.  After a couple of hectic days in Las Vegas we've hit the road for some absolutely amazing sights.  Here are some of the highlights.

Lake Mead Hoover Dam overlook

Hit the junction of Route 66 at Kingman

Lots of old diners

Travis needed a haircut

Huge improvement

Everyone signs their name on this old bomb

Deer at the side of the road

Made it to the Grand Canyon

The squirrels were friendly

This place is so amazing

Historic fire tower

And there was a major plane crash in the canyon here

A bit of shopping at the Indian markets

While the boys wait

This was our fantastic view for our free campsite for the night.  There had been a big downpour earlier in the day and this was the result at this unnamed canyon.  When we woke the next morning it was dry again.  I guess that's the equivalent of seeing rain on Ayres Rock.
