Bryce Canyon - 28th April 2010

Well, what a beautiful place this is.  Imagine this, we are up 9115 feet and the wind is howling at 50 mph and it's f............in freezing.  But don't be mistaken, this place is magic.  We left the RV in Zion and travelled along this beautiful road up the mountain, through a 1.1 mile long tunnel then out across the plateau to Bryce Canyon.  On the way we saw a couple of quaint little towns (this is Mormon country mind you) and a place called Glendale which had heaps of old cars for sale for not much money (Hughie was very happy but he's not buying any).  The canyon has been eroded away for millions of years and has formed some fantastic shapes.  It's like you're on a different planet.  As we were on a day trip without the RV we had lunch in the upmarket Bryce Canyon Lodge (upmarket prices but the food was pretty average).  Never mind they had the ambiance.  Once again the photos won't do this place justice.

Nanny mouse is a little cold but having a great time

Hughie would love to bring this home - Ian do you need any more spares?
