Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd July 2017 - Brodhead Mount Vernon KY

We've arrived at Moon's Auntie and Uncle's place for the weekend.  Talk about an interesting couple.  He is a collector of many things and a maker of many other things quirky.

We all piled into the golf cart and were taken down to the local lakeside restaurant for catfish and shrimp.

After our meal we went further down the road to a place called Renfro which is a traditional old village with an entertainment center where they have quite a few big name country acts on.  To me this looked like a better place for grand ole opry than grand ole opry in Nashville.

The tickets for the shows are 2 thirds cheaper than grand ole opry and they have a campground next door to stay in so all good as far as I can see.
