Thursday 20th July - Bowling Green TN

Before leaving Nashville this morning we went to a quirky auto museum that not many people know about called Lanes Automobile Museum.  They have every concept car that you can think of, every prototype car you can't think of plus all sorts of weird and wonderful contraptions including the world's smallest car.  Needless to say Hughie took many photos but here are just a few

After lunch we then drove to Bowling Green which was not far up the road where we went on a boat tour into Lost River Cave

The boat goes under this rock ledge and we all had to duck out heads down into the middle of the boat for about 30 seconds till we got to the other side where the cave opened up into a big cavern.

The cave was inhabited by prehistoric paleo indians from 12,000 BC to 7500 BC.  It was later used in the civil war and in the 1930's it was even used as a ballroom.

Friday 21st July 2017 -  Mammoth Cave Kentucky

This morning we went into Mammoth Cave which is the largest cave system in the world. There are over 365 miles of surveyed passageways and up to 600 miles of yet undiscovered passageways. It is over twice as long as any other known cave system.
