After doing the Little Bear hike this morning at Lake Chelan without seeing any little bears and another swim in the lake we moved on via Entiat where we caught up on some laundry. Have I mentioned how cheap the laundromats are here in America? $2.50 a load and and 25 cents for 10 minutes in the dryer is about average, sometimes cheaper. After lunch we went further down the side of the lake to Lincoln Rock State Park. What a gem this place is, lots and lots of shade trees and beautiful grass and all flat so easy to get level on your campsite. Also a nice swimming area. Loved it so much we stayed an extra day and just as well as fire broke out overnight on the hillside opposite the park on the other side of the lake. We were entertained all day watching the firefighters do what they do best and it was all out by mid afternoon.

Thursday 26th July 2018 - Leavenworth to Wanatchee Lake
Moving along slowly making our way towards Seattle for our rendevous with John and Stacha. Today we travelled through Cashmere and on to Leavenworth not knowing what to expect. Well, it turns out that Leavenworth is a total reincarnation of a Bavarian Village. Full of tourists but very quaint with trendy shops and every business has gotten in on the act. It was hard to find a building that wasn't Bavarian. We've made our camp in Wanatchee Lake National Forest and are staying two nights as we've met and made friends with a really nice couple from Boise Idaho. We did a huge bike ride today to Fish Lake and also the northern end of the state park nearby.
