Well it turns out that the nice couple that we met here in Nason Creek on Thursday are really nice and we enjoyed their company so much we stayed here a third night. The four of us went out to another part of the lake called Glacier View which had a lovely little secluded beach where they let us have a go of their kayaks for a paddle around the lake. It was a really lovely day.
Sunday 29th July 2018 - Moving on
Well it's come the time to move on closer to Seattle. We didn't really pick the right day as we had all the Sunday drivers out and the traffic was almost at a standstill for 2 hours then it's on to the motorway where we went around in circles a couple of times due to interference to the GPS from overhead power lines. We eventually arrived at Kanaskat Pallmer State Park to spend the night. We did manage to stop at Deception Falls before we got in the bad traffic and had a hike around.

Giant trees and a lovely forest walk
Monday 30th July 2018 - Heading for the coast
We slept in really late this morning which surprised us, didn't get out of bed till 9.45. Don't remember the last time we ever stayed in bed that late. Anyway we didn't need lunch as we had breakfast so late. We walked down to the river for a swim but it was too cold so just sat there for a couple of hours till it was time to check out of the park at 1.00pm. We then drove towards the coast and are staying at Dash Point State Park on the edge of Peugot Sound. Liking the coastal smell of seaweed and salt as we haven't had that for so long.
The river at Kanaskat Palmer SP I've swam most places we've stopped but this one was just a little cool for swimming.
The edge of Peugot Sound, tides out and lots of smelly seaweed
