Monday 16th July 2018 - Still in British Columbia

Monday 16th July 2018 - More Ferries

We've travelled across the Upper Arrow Lake at Galena Bay on the ferry heading towards Revelstoke.  They have a really good railway museum here but we didn't go in as we went there in 2010.  We headed north to Sicamous and then south again to Lake Country which is the name of the town.  The weather was beautiful and there is a very long bike trail around the edge of Wood Lake.  We did about 10 klms of the bike trail and then had a swim..  We then moved on a bit further to Idadel Lake for our afternoon happy hour before travelling partway back out towards the highway where we ducked into a forest road for a nice quiet night in the forest.

Loading onto the ferry at Galena Bay

Got front position, all the ferries have been free in Canada by the way.  The only thing that's cheaper than the USA

Bicycle ride around Wood Lake

Followed by a swim

Idadel Lake with a very small population at the end of a dirt road

We got a laugh out of this sign as we sat there in 96F/35C heat
