Today we travelled further down the coast past some nice scenery which was not very visible due to heavy sea mist. This is a common problem with this area. We decided to turn east at Roseberg and headed for Diamond Lake where we found a very nice state park called Thielsen View by the lake.
Friday 10th August 2018 - Crater Lake
A short drive today into Crater Lake. This volcanic crater was formed 7,700 years ago when it erupted spectacularly to form the deepest lake in the USA. Wizard Island in the middle was later formed by a cinder cone. This place is absolutely stunning. There was a lot of smoke haze from nearby fires but beautiful none the less. Here are some photos.
